So as I wrote in my last blog post, I was getting the pool ready for the summer. You all know how much I like to be by the pool. I love to play and be naughty and just have good fun. As I will be home all weekend taking calls from all you naughty men, I am looking forward to frolicking in that pool with some yummy beverages. One of my favorites when I am outdoors is a Chelada. If you have not had one, you must try it as it is easy to make and quite good for hot, sunny weather. Here is the recipe.
Just about any light lager style will do. I have made this drink from all kinds of brews from Corona to Miller Lite. So even if you are on a tight budget as most of us are these days, you can still have a good drink.
Prep Time and Total Time is about 5 minutes to make 1 chelada. The ingredients are as follows:
- Coarse salt
- Ice
- Juice from one large lime
- 1 12 oz. bottle light lager (that’s light in color and flavor, not necessarily a low-cal beer.)
- Lime wedge for garnish
Preparation is real simple:
Salt the rim of a large, tall glass. Fill with ice and add the lime juice. Top up with the beer. Garnish with the lime wedge.
